Surface self-reconstruction of telluride induced by in-situ cathodic electrochemical activation for enhanced water oxidation performance

چکیده

Metal tellurides attract recent attention because of their promising applications as effective catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). However, inappropriate adsorption energy between OER intermediates and telluride leads to an unsatisfactory electrocatalytic intrinsic activity. Herein, we adopt a unique in-situ cathodic electrochemical activation process facilitate surface self-reconstruction form vacancy (OV)-rich TeO2 layer onto Fe-doped NiTe (OV@Fe-NiTe). Characterizations theoretical calculation demonstrate that presence OV-rich realizes adjustment d-band center active site translates into enhancement *OOH intermediate thus optimization pathway. Consequently, OV@Fe-NiTe only requires ultralow overpotential 245 mV drive 100 mA cm-2 in 1 M KOH, 95 lower than Fe-NiTe, hence becoming best water oxidation electrocatalysts amongst recently reported electrocatalysts. This study presents strategy exploit telluride-based through engineering.

Electrochemical driven water oxidation by molecular catalysts in situ polymerized on the surface of graphite carbon electrode.

A simple strategy to immobilize highly efficient ruthenium based molecular water-oxidation catalysts on the basal-plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (BPG) by polymerization has been demonstrated. The electrode 1@BPG has obtained a high initial turnover frequency (TOF) of 10.47 s(-1) at ∼700 mV overpotential, and a high turnover number (TON) up to 31600 in 1 h electrolysis.

Surface Activation of NiTi Alloy by Using Electrochemical Process for Biomimetic Deposition of Hydroxyapatite Coating (TECHNICAL NOTE)

Electrochemical depositions of calcium phosphate (Ca-P) film on NiTi alloy in concentrated simulated body flood (SBF×5) were carried out by cathodic polarization. The Ca-P layer was successfully deposited on Ni-Ti alloy substrate under 10mA/cm2 current density for 2 hours at room temperature. Then, in order to investigate the bioactivity of the pre-calcified samples, they were immersed in SBF f...
